I Love Crazy Weddings.

Over the years I've seen and been a part of lots of weddings and I've seen some crazy things happen.

One of my favorite moments was when the groomsmen all flashed signs from within their jackets as they released the escorted bridesmaids and turned to join the groom.  Each of them had one word of a message within their jackets--all together they read, "Run for the door, Bill!".

We've all seen unique and creative weddings with people jumping out of airplanes while saying their nuptials.  We've even seen choreographed dancing down the aisle via YouTube.

It never ceases to amaze me how much time and energy couples put on their wedding day!

However, this thought has been nagging me lately:

The beginning of marriage is important, but it's more important to be sitting on the porch when you're 80.

Our tendency is to focus on the beginning of marriage and to celebrate the anniversaries when we're older.

A lot more of us would get to those anniversaries if we would put an emphasis on the days in between.
