Journey with others

It's been said that "when someone connects heart to heart with God and you choose not to join them, someday you'll find them in a very different place than you."

Once I was on staff with a guy from another part of the United States.  The area he'd previously lived in was the former home of a man who had gone on to start a large and, arguably famous, mission organization.

When this spiritual entrepreneur began to have the vision for what would later become an incredible life changing organization, he shared the dream God had given him with many people in the area inviting them to join and support him.

My friend said that quite often, he'd be talking with someone who'd lived in the area for years who was retired or toward the end of their career and they'd tell of how this man came to them and invited them to engage this journey with him.

Over and over people would be retelling the story and then they'd pause, look off across the room and say something along the lines of "I've always wondered if we should have joined him . . . kind of wished we would've."

I'm convinced there are times to do things that are crazy and don't make sense.

Remember, in real life, faith looks like courage, guts and risk.
