Mosaic is launching "Summer Blast" for three consecutive Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:00 starting July 20th, 21st & 22nd.
Summer Blast will bring activities, teachings, and music to pre-K through 5th grade kids! What should you expect? Summer Blast will be more laid back than most VBS scenarios you may have experienced. We're trying to: Connect with Kids & Families, Share God's Word and Have Fun!
Our most pressing need is Summer Blast Pros to do an activity with kids each of the three nights. We also need people to help greet kids & parents and help in general with snacks, etc.
Here's an example of a typical Summer Blast night schedule:
6:25 Intro Activity. Things like parachute games (with a parachute) so kids have something to do while they're arriving
6:30 - 7:15 Three Activities led by our Summer Blast Pros. We'll rotate teams of kids thru each of the three activities. Each team will have a team leader (older kid) who helps identify their team ("I'm on Caleb's Team", etc.) and helps get each team to the next station.
7:15 - 7:45 Music & Teaching time.
7:45 - 8:00 Snacks
Where? When?
We'll be in the neighborhood where Rick & Michelle Pettit and Jarrod & Angie Freymuth live. We'll be here on Tuesdays. (Wentzville close to GM)
We'll be in the Soulard neighborhood on Wednesdays across from Marc & Beth's house.
We'll be in John & Stasia Schieffer's neighborhood on Thursdays. (Wentzville area--Off 61 in "Bedford Falls" subdivision) NOTE: watch our website for addresses, etc. Specifics will be up Monday.
It would be ideal if you could commit to one location for all three weeks; however, if you're not available every night, we could still use your help.
Our plan is to have an Intro Activity and then three activity stations for the kids including games, art & crafts, and fun centers.
Here are some ideas OR you can come up with an idea of your own! You may also want to team up with someone to host an activity.

So, what do you think?
Can you "own an activity" and make it happen each week? (Remember, you can team up--but we need enough!)
Can you help with welcoming people and working the Intro Activity each week? (We'll have the Intro Activity decided upon each evening.)
Are you willing to help but there's no way you can "own an activity"--let Shane know if that's you!
If you need supplies, help or any additional information please contact Jan Dilorenzo at or Shane or Dee Dee. Shane's cell is 314-825-0003 or e-mail is or
This will be a great way to connect and have a total blast together this summer, hope you can be apart of this with us.
Most things are better and more fun when you do them as a team. We need to hear from you to know where you'll serve--so let us know!
We'll have a brief meeting after church this Sunday, July 18th to make sure we're all on the same page. This should be fun!
